RE: Strong arm stabilizers

I already have roto chocks and those help a lot, but can still feel people fart the the back bunk. I like the price on those Bal stabilizers from camping world, may have to give that a try and see. Any others out there that have tried the Strong arm's or Bal stabilizers? JJ

Strong arm stabilizers

Any one installed these on their hybrid? Strong Arm stabilizer If so, do they help eliminate the vibrations when you're sleeping in the front bunk and others are sleeping in rear bunk? Seems like I can feel every little toss and turn of who ever is sleeping in the back bunk and when ever some one walks around in the camper, I can feel it. Would be good to know if those that have them would install them and again (are they worth the $300 bucks in other words)? Thanks, JJ

RE: Questions on the Roo 23SS drain, skylight, and axles

Wow, talk about bait and switch... This sucks! In a previous thread some one told me about the lowered height of the new 8' 23ss's, didn't give it much thought. When I questioned about where the height went and if it was inside, I was told it appeared to be in the axles, as the height inside appeared the same. Wonder if these new axles explain some of this lowered height??? I sure hope all the people buying new 23ss read this thread and demand the 3k axles. As others have said, this would be a deal killer in my book! Good luck to you all and keep the heat on FR! JJ

RE: Floorspace 2008 Roo 21SS vs. 23ss

Wow, 6" shorter vertical. I didn't know that. Where did they cut from as I was in one at an RV show and didn't notice the ceiling being lower??? JJ

RE: Floorspace 2008 Roo 21SS vs. 23ss

All about storage for us. Open floor space is nice, but not tripping over your stuff or your kids stuff is better, or at least in our book. Your conditions and biases may well be different. The counter space for cooking was also a factor in our decision. And yes, we drool over that extra 6"'s for those lucky to have an 08. I've wondered how those extra inches are when towing, if it is harder to see vehicles in the tow mirrors, etc.? JJ

RE: Round Lake Mi

What about Sequoia Camping in Adrian or Irish Hills in Cement City. Any one stayed in one of these places and have opinions one way or the other? JJ

RE: Round Lake Mi

Lenawee County, south east MI. We'll check out the site you mention MI Director. Thanks!!! Why do we not want Hayes State park? Just curious. PM if you want. Cheers, JJ

Round Lake Mi

Planning a trip to see my wife's extended family who live near Round Lake. Have a 5 yr old, and 1.5 year old boys. Looking for good family campgrounds within 30mi or so. Can be state campgrounds or more full service type places with a pool. Would prefer full hookups since we'll be there a week, but not required. Would be a good excuse to buy a generator right??? I looked Hayes park, but man it is already booked out for the week in June we're looking at, though it is open for 5 of the days we'd need. Any ideas are welcome. Coming in from Iowa. Thanks in advance! JJ

RE: What's on your "Mods-to-do list"???

Bathroom sink upgrade was a piece of cake. Standard sink appears to work just fine, though I couldn't leak test, since I have no water due to the temps here in iowa. Looking forward having a one piece lever for hot/cold vs the two knobs, of which the cold turns the wrong direction! Now, if I could only find a fix for the shower! JJ

RE: What's on your "Mods-to-do list"???

Just installed 5 20w xeon under cabinet lights around the oven range hood and around the sink. Really throws some light onto the counter top. New sink and shower faucets that work the normal way. I like the LED step light idea. I'll have to investigate. JJ I thought about changing the bathroom sink faucet. Will a standard household faucet work? - never really looked at it that closely. Also I installed an RV switched light above the sink- was always "dark" while doing dishes. Now it's nice and bright. We used to just angle the reading light above the sofa over to the sink, but now it's much better! Mark, Don't have a clue. Just got done pulling it. What a pain. My largish frame wasn't designed to fit under that sink! Oh, you'll love this. I'm down and dirty under that sink and lean a bit on the drain pipe for the sink and it just pops right off. Never was screwed in to the pipe from the sink from the factory. Lovely job FR. I'll try and hit Lowe's tomorrow with my old sink and see what I can find and let you know. Great thread BTW. JJ

RE: New to HTT camping

Welcome. I'm another one of the 23ss, with drool over that extra 6"'s. Saw one in person a few weeks ago at an RV show. Did make it feel just that much more open inside. Oh well. Came home and installed some xeon under cabinet lighting in my Roo and really helped in the kitchen stove/sink area. Can't wait to get out for real and use it! JJ
